CJ CheilJedang said Thursday it will distribute Bibigo food kits to 6,000 international tourists joining guided palace tours in Seoul, as part of efforts to introduce Korean food alongside the country's cultural heritage.

The initiative, running from October through December, is funded by the Food Safety and Mutual Growth Foundation, established by CJ CheilJedang.

The tours, organized by the Korea History Interpretation Promotion Institute, take visitors through Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung, where Korean guides introduce the country's history and culture.

Each Bibigo Welcome Kit contains shelf-stable Korean snacks and convenience foods, including Bibigo glutinous rice seaweed crisps, Oh My God mini yakgwa and cup tteokbokki.

The packages also include information directing tourists to Olive Young's Central Myeong-dong Town and N Seongsu stores, where they can shop for Korean products.

According to CJ CheilJedang, some recipients expressed interest in the snacks and asked their guides about the Bibigo brand and where to buy its products.

The company plans to expand similar initiatives in partnership with public-interest foundations affiliated with CJ Group, combining cultural experiences with opportunities to introduce Korean food to international consumers.

"We hope foreign tourists visiting Korea to experience its history and culture will also discover the diverse flavors and appeal of Korean food through Bibigo," a CJ CheilJedang official said.
