The National Hangeul Museum is marking the centenary with the exhibition "From 1926 to Infinity," in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History, the Korean Language Society, and the King Sejong the Great Memorial Society.

The exhibit presents the museum's newly acquired archival materials related to the history of Hangeul and its linguists, including inaugural certificates from the Korean Language Institutes from the early 1910s.

The exhibit also features the "Dictionary Manuscript Embodying Love for the Korean Language and a Yearning for Independence," final edits of manuscripts for a Korean dictionary by linguist Ju Si-gyeong and his students.

The exhibition invites visitors to become a part of Hangeul history by creating their own avatars, writing letters to future selves, and printing calendars and inaugural certificates with multilayer stamps.

The exhibition runs through Feb. 9 at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History.
