SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., the world's largest memory chipmaker, on Thursday estimated its third-quarter operating profit at 107.4 trillion won (US$80.1 billion), up 782.5 percent from a year earlier.
Revenue increased 126.6 percent to 195 trillion won. The data for net earnings was not available.
The operating profit was 1.6 percent higher than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
The company, which is one of the biggest global suppliers of top high bandwidth memory (HBM) semiconductors, will release its final earnings report later.
